Hannah Swanson is one of just two players under-par after the first round at Gearhart Golf Links

GEARHART, OR (August 9, 2016) -- Hannah Swanson (Forest Grove, Ore.) leads after the first round of the 26th Oregon Women’s Stroke Play Championship, while Jerry Cundari (Portland, Ore.) leads the field after day one of the 11th Oregon Super Senior Championship. Both events are being held concurrently at Gearhart Golf Links in Gearhart, Ore., August 9-10, 2016. Swanson fired a 3-under par 69 on Tuesday, and leads defending champion Gigi Stoll (Tigard, Ore.) by two shots after Stoll shot a 1-under par 71. University of Oregon golfer Megan Conder (Brentwood, Calif.) sits in third place at 1-over par, while 2016 Oregon Women’s Amateur champion Krissy Peterson (Canby, Ore.) is in fourth after shooting 74 (+2) on Tuesday. Leilani Norman (Eugene, Ore.) and Katy Wright (Camas, Wash.) are tied for the lead in the Senior Women’s Division after both shot 77 (+5) on Tuesday. Defending four-time champion Anita Wicks (Roseburg, Ore.) and Marcia Fisher (Canby, Ore.) are tied for third, as both sit at 9-over par. Defending champion Rusty Beckel (Oak Grove, Ore.) and Nettie Morrison (Bend, Ore.) are tied for the Women’s Super Senior title, after both shot 83 (+11) on Tuesday. Cindy Anderson (Eugene, Ore.), 2014 champion. sits four shots back after shooting 87 (+15) during the first round. Cundari fired an even-par round of 72 today to lead the Super Senior Championship by two shots over four players: defending two-time champion Chris Maletis (Portland, Ore.), Michael Miller (Salem, Ore.), Alan Richardson (Bakersfield, Calif.) and Jon Woodson (Palm Desert, Calif.).
