FRESNO, Calif. (May 28, 2016) -- Fresno native Jason Higton leads the Fresno City Championship by one shot after back-to-back rounds of 2-under 70.

Higton's round included six birdies four of which came consecutively on holes 16 through 1 (started on 10). Higton will need more birdies tomorrow as he looks to fend of Colby Thomason and Rich Gilkey who sit a 3-under par and tied for 2nd.

The final round is set to begin a 7am local time Monday.

The 54 hole championship kicked off today at Riverside golf course with Danny Paniccia opening with a 69 to take a one-shot lead over a trio of players.
