Despite periods of heavy rain and wind Lanny Correll and Jamie Frazier hold a one shot at SCGA Super Senior Four-Ball
EDISTO ISLAND, SC (May 17, 2016) - Despite periods of heavy rain and wind at The Plantation Course at Edisto, Lanny Correll & Jamie Frazier hold a one shot lead after an opening round 63 in the South Carolina Golf Association's Second Annual Super Senior Four Ball Championship.
Correll (Pawleys Island) & Frazier (Winsboro) combined for seven birdies, five of which came on the back nine, and 11 pars to take control of the lead with an opening round seven under par 63.
The team of Bob Albus & John Ward will begin the final round one shot off the lead after an opening round 64. The 2015 SCGA Super Senior Four Ball Champion team of George Ackerman & Mike Weiner still have their sights set on winning the title back and will begin the final round three shots behind after an opening round 66.
With the Championship Division & Legends Division playing from two different sets of tees, the team of Greg Schachner & Steve Pachol lead the Legends Division after fishing the first round with a five under par round of 65.
The Final round will begin on Wednesday with a 10.00 a.m. shotgun.
About the South Carolina Super Senior Four Ball

The Championship will be split into two Divisions - a Championship Division for players 65-69 and a Legends Division for players over the age of 70.
