Michael O'Brien and Ben Sattler put together the round of the day to win the Metropolitan Four-Ball

MASON, OH (May 10, 2016) - Michael O'Brien and Ben Sattler put together the round of the day, a 5-under 67, and came from three-strokes behind to win the 14th Annual Metropolitan Four-Ball Championship in a playoff. O'Brien and Sattler defeated Craig and Mark Harden who reached 11-under with two day scores of 65-68. During the final round O'Brien and Sattler tallied three birdies on the front nine and as they made the turn they were 9-under and squarely in the mix. On the 10th hole they carded their only bogey of the day before finishing the round with birdies on 12, 14 and 17. Over 36-holes of golf Michael O'Brien and Ohio University's Ben Sattler accounted for 13 birdies and only two bogeys, one each day. First round leaders, brothers Daniel and Michael Wetterich finished tied for third with Alex Rodger and Micah Dean at 10-under. Jonathan Feldkamp Jr. and Brad Mitchell were 9-under and in fifth. SENIOR DIVISION Dave Macke and Jim Volpenhein came from one-stroke down on Tuesday to capture the Senior Division after shooting two round scores of 66-67. The duo from Traditions Golf Club ended the 36-hole event 11-under and two shots clear of the rest of the field. Over the course of two days at the Heritage Club Macke and Volphenhein only bogeyed one hole while birdieing 12, six on each day. Steve Wagner and Jim Heywood playing on their home course finished 9-under and in second place while the first round leading team of Tim Sorrows and Ed Steiberwere third at 8-under.
About the Cincinnati Four-Ball

Open to men's and senior men's amateurs who are members of the Greater Cincinnati Golf Association. Format is a two-man scramble on day 1 and four-ball stroke play on day 2.
