ALPHARETTA, GA (March 29, 2016)-- Romain Langasque has become the 19th winner of the Georgia Cup with a 4&3 win over Bryson DeChambeau. The two amateur champions met today in the annual 18-hole match play event held on the Lakeside Course at The Georgia Golf Club as they continue to prepare for their Masters appearances next week.

Langasque, the 2015 British Amateur champion, became the 10th international player to win the event. The native of France trailed by one after eight but was able to quickly square the match on the ninth.

From that point on the match was controlled by Lanasque. After DeChambeau, the reigning U.S. Amateur champion won No. 8, Lanasque won three holes in a row to go 2 up. As the number of holes remaining dwindled Lanasque didn't let up.

After a halve at No. 12 Lanasque won the 13th with a birdie to extend his lead to three, it was his fourth win in the last five holes. A couple of holes later he closed the match out on the 15th green with another birdie. With the win Lanasque became the fourth international player to win the Georgia Cup in the last five years.
