Coming this spring from Arccos, a driver-only version of their popular game tracking system, and it's just $79
The company has sold their full set product, which tracks every shot in your round seemlessly, to tens of thousands of golfers since launching several years ago. The amount and quality of data their users get (including me) quickly pays for the sub- $300 full set product.
For 2016, Arccos has added a new product to the mix, Arccos Driver. It is the game’s first driver-only performance tracker, and our early tests show that it's a fun and easy way to get started with the Arccos Golf Platform. At just $79 (pre-order here) Arccos Driver might be the best investment you can make in your game in 2016.

Improve your
driving, while playing against friends on course, and online |
This one's geared towards driving performance starting with distance and fairways hit categories, and adding in competition with your friends to make golf more fun. (Adding a new betting category is cool too.) Check out the app screen shot on the right, that shows long drive champ Jamie Sadlowski in a friendly competition with Billy Horschel.
Imagine having fun while improving your game. That's right in line with the Connecticut-based company's vision.
“We aim to innovate in a manner that makes golf more exciting, addictive and fun for everyone from beginners to Tour players,” said Sal Syed, CEO and co-founder at Arccos. “Arccos Driver accomplishes that by offering entirely new ways for people to compete with their friends, track their stats and improve performance.”
Until you've tried Arccos, you have no idea how cool it is to see exactly where each shot went during the round, and to click a single button to view all your rounds for that round, and compare them against your trends. Getting a handicap for each part of your game provides pinpoint precision to your practice and learning regimen. Driving is one of the most fun areas, because let's face it, we all want to know how far we really hit it, (Arccos knows) and how many fairways we hit (Arccos knows that too).
Pairing it up and getting started is a snap -- the sensor simply pairs to the phone and you're off to the races. Downloading courses can be done in advance, or on the tee. It takes about 30 seconds with any kind of internet connection.
Arccos Driver will be available at Apple Stores, Dick’s Sporting Goods and golf retailers nationwide starting in April and is also available for pre-order at www.ArccosDriver.com.
