Kevin O’Connell of Raleigh and Philip Chauncey of Durham carded a 67 to stand at 15-under 129 through two rounds and maintain their one shot lead

DURHAM, N.C. – Second round results of the 20th North Carolina Four-Ball Championship hosted by Croasdaile Country Club in Durham, N.C. on Saturday, October 10, 2015 (6851 yards, par 36-36—72, 72.8/136). Having the better end of the weather playing in the morning wave, first round leaders Kevin O’Connell of Raleigh and Philip Chauncey of Durham carded a 67 to stand at 15-under 129 through two rounds and maintain their one shot lead. Lurking one shot back at 130 are J.D. McNeill of Raleigh-Jerry Richardson, Jr. of Cary; Chris Cassetta of Winston-Salem-Matthew Crenshaw of Burlington; Bob Ferrel, Jr. of Durham-Uly Grisette of Winston-Salem. Defending champions Brian Gauley of Wake Forest and his brother Mark Gauley of Raleigh posted a six-under 66 and moved up the leaderboard into a tie for seventh place at 134. Weather was a factor on Saturday as most of the morning wave of teams played without rain. Then the front moved in at 1:30pm impacting the afternoon wave of players with a steady light rain and dropping temperatures for the remainder of the day. The average score in round two was 70.6 which were .4 strokes higher than round one. The field of 80 teams was cut to the low 30 scores and ties for the final round on Sunday. The cut line fell at five-under 139 with 37 teams advancing to the final round.
About the North Carolina Four-Ball

Open to any male amateur golfer 13 or older. Must be a resident of North Carolina and a member of a CGA member club. Format is 54 holes of four-ball stroke play with a cut to the low 30 scores and ties.
