JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — Don Erickson of Dubois, Pa. captured his second Sunnehanna Senior Invitational title in the last four years, firing his second consecutive round of 71 at Sunnehanna Country Club. He secured a three-shot win over fellow Pennsylvanian Allen Barber, who shared the opening-round lead with Erickson.

Erickson led or had a share of the lead after each round, posting 73 on day one to hold a one-shot advantage alongside Barber, then carded 71 on Tuesday and entered the final with a slim lead over Fred Miller.

Defending champion David Lucks was in contention on Wednesday, sitting just two back of Erickson, but struggled to a 79 and dropped back to a tie for 11th place.

In the Super Senior division, Barry Flaer of Adamstown, Md. shot 70 in the last round to win by two over Michael McGuire.
