Higher launch with low spin and a hot new look is creating high demand for HZRDUS shafts from pros and amateurs alike

Project X is introducing a new line of graphite shafts for those who are looking for higher launch. Project X shafts, known for producing shots with low launch and low spin, introduces Project X HZRDUS, giving you a variety of weights and launches to improve your game, just as it has done for pro Louis Oosthuizen. “I am driving the ball better than ever,’ Oosthuizen said after losing the U.S Open by one stroke to Jordan Spieth. His new HZRDUS shafts helped him go 66, 66 and 67 in the final three rounds of the Open. The sleek new HZRDUS shafts look cool in their stylish black, but also come in yellow and will be available in a variety of colors. Five types of carbon fiber are used in production, combining to give full-length stiffness while creating more speed through the swing. This is a shaft designed for skilled golfers with faster swing speeds who want higher launch and low spin. “HZRDUS is going to come in a variety of weights and a variety of launches… we’re going to have hybrids, fairway shafts, driver shafts – weights from 50 all the way up to 90 grams – we’re going to cover everything with this,” said Don Brown of Project X. “We will probably have 30+ different shafts when we’re done with this.” Oosthuizen played a 62-gram shaft with a torque reading of 3.2 degrees in the Open. Other weights available for the wood shafts are 75 grams (2.9 degrees) and 85 grams (2.5 degrees). Release date for the shafts has been set for 2016, but they can be seen on tour as word gets out and pros make the change.
