Hendley took an eight shot lead into the final round, and although Duff Wagner shot 68 to Hendley's 72, it was too late in the tournament to change the outcome

AWENDAW, South Carolina (May 14, 2015) -- Todd Hendley finished his wire to wire victory in the 57th SCGA Senior Championship at Bulls Bay Golf Club with a final round of 72 for a tournament total of 11 under par 205. Making a strong run, but having too much ground to gain, was second place finisher Duff Wagner with a final round best score of 68 for a 211 finish.

Starting the day with an eight shot lead, Hendley was looking to go mistake free in the 20-25 mph winds and he did just that. The 56 year old Greer resident managed three birdies against only three bogies for his even par score 72 while the rest of the 60 player field averaged a score of 79.5. As close as it got was when Duff Wagner, a 55 year old from Taylor’s playing in the group ahead, got within five after a Hendley bogey on the par four 15th. Hendley quickly recovered with his final birdie of the tournament on the par four 16th and with two finishing pars, was able to hoist the trophy. Hendley and Wagner teamed together in March to win the SCGA Senior Four Ball Championship

The 2015 SCGA Senior Championship was played on the 6,366 yard, Mike Strantz designed Bulls Bay Golf Club layout in Awendaw, SC. The starting field consisted of 121 players over the age of 55 and was cut to the low 60 and ties after the first two days of play.
