Despite shooting 74 in the final round, Adam Walicki beat JJ Gresco by a stroke to win the Phoenix City Amateur Championship
PHOENIX, Ariz. — Adam Walicki's back-to-back sub-70 rounds to begin the Phoenix City Amateur were enough to push the former professional golfer to victory, despite his final round 74. Walicki edged JJ Gresco by a stroke for the championship, shooting four-under par for the 54-hole tournament.
Gresco's rounds of 70-70-71 were good enough for second place by three shots over Sean O'Donnell.
