So it shouldn't surprise anyone that the R15 fairway lineup is what TaylorMade insists is their "most technologically advanced fairway woods ever." The new clubs feature a 25-gram tungsten weight in the sole that slides from left to right. The weight can be positioned towards the toe to increase fade bias or can be set towards the heal of the club to induce a draw. Leaving the weight aligned in the center of the club lowers the center of gravity and promotes a penetrating ball flight.

The sliding track, according to representatives at TaylorMade, acts in a way similar to the company's Speed Pocket, improving ball speed on shots hit across the face, even on mishits. The club also features an adjustable hosel (4-degree loft sleeve) that lets you dial in your launch conditions.

The R15 fairway woods ($279.99) come in standard lofts of 15, 16.5, 19 and 20.5 degrees and ship with a Fujikura Speeder 77 Evolution shaft (X, S, R, and M flexes). A separate TP version ($349.99) comes stock with a Fujikura Speeder 67 Evolution shaft (X, S, R, and M flexes).
