New season of AmateurGolf.com Tour events kicks off at Aviara

Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club, host of the LPGA's Kia Classic in March, will be the first stop of the 2015 AmateurGolf.com Tour

CARLSBAD, Calif. (Jan. 2, 2015) — Park Hyatt's Aviara Golf Club will play host to the first tournament of the 2015 AmateurGolf.com Tour, the San Diego Amateur presented by Callaway Golf. The 36-hole event kicks off this weekend, January 3-4. The course, which hosts the LPGA Tour's Kia Classic every March, is known for having some of the best greens in all of San Diego County, and is a Top-20-ranked course in the state of California according to Golf Digest. The second event of the year will begin next weekend in the Bay Area as Coyote Creek Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus design, will host the Silicon Valley Amateur.
