Birdie on first playoff hole gives Backlund victory
GOSHEN, KY (August 19, 2014) — After a one-hour fog delay at Harmony Landing Country Club, the Kentucky Senior Amateur resumed Monday morning and concluded with a one-hole playoff to determine the winner.
Gary Backlund birdied the first hole, beating David Pohlmann for the victory.
Backlund fired a final-round 69 to catch up with Pohlmann, who shot 71 on Monday to fall back into the two-way tie with Backlund.
About the Kentucky Senior Amateur
Format is 36 holes of stroke play with Senior, Mid- Senior, Masters, and Legends divisions at both gross and net. Entrants in all KGA tournaments shall be required to have an active Handicap Index at a Kentucky Golf Association Member Club at the tim...
