New Balance is new to the golf market but the technologies and designs of the 574 golf shoes are a brand staple

I've long been intrigued by Speed Golf. I like to run and consistently train for 5ks, 10ks and -- currently -- a half marathon. I love to play golf and anyone that's done so with me, knows that I like to do so rather quickly. Although, for me, as vain as it may be, the only hangup was trying to figure out which shoes I'd wear. After trying the New Balance 574 golf shoes, though, I'm excited to begin my Speed Golf career. The trouble with the crossover golf shoes has been the stability. Minimalistic design is for some people, no doubt, but my off-balance, unconventional swing needs stable footing. Where other similar golf shoe models have failed, the 574s from New Balance -- introduced to market only this year -- have won me over. The shoe's inspired by the brand's classic running sneaker of the same name. The sneaker, like the golf shoe, is designed with very little fluff. For the runner wearing New Balance, it's about comfort and durability. The same characteristics were forged into the 574 golf shoes. The key is in the midsole -- especially for those of us considering picking up a faster version of the game we all love. New Balance's ReVlite midsole was originally designed to provide lightweight yet sturdy cushioning for marathoners. That same midsole is used in the 574 golf shoes and aids to benefit you while swinging, walking or -- gulp -- running. In my eyes, what separates the NB 574s from competing products that fall under the same category among golf shoes is the blend of on and off-course functionality. For comfort and performance known from New Balance's running and walking shoes, the brand added the elements laid out above. To please the golfer, a host of features were included to ensure that the NB 574 Golf shoe is just that -- a golf shoe. The shoe features low-profile ONE-Lok Zarma Tour spikes from CHAMP Spikes that provide superior traction during your swing no matter the conditions. The tour-proven cleat system from CHAMP helps ensure your feet have full contact with the ground during the swing while New Balance's blend of running comfort and functionality ensure you're feet are happy during your walk -- or run. Available now, the New Balance 574 Golf shoes retail at $129.99 and are available White with Red/Black trim and the classic Grey with White trim.
