VERO BEACH, Fla. (March 25, 2014) -- Pete Allen and Mike Smith stand alone atop the leaderboard at the 2014 Society of Seniors Ed Tutwiler Four-Ball.

At Hawk's Nest Golf Club, Allen And Smith shot a second-round 68 and will enter Wednesday's final round with a two shot advantage over Owen Joyner and Jeff New.

Allen and Smith had shared the lead with two other teams after a first-round 66 but shot what amounted to the day's low round on Tuesday to forge ahead.

The teams of Gary Johnson and Jon Empanger, Ed Chylinski and Roc Irey and Randy Yoder and Craig Soule are all tied for third, three back of the leaders.

After Round 1, the teams of Joyner and New and Paul Quigley and Michael Soucy had shared the lead with Allen and Smith. Quigley and Soucy struggled with a second-round 74 and are six off the pace.

Two-time defending champions Alan Fadel and Jim Smith are four back after rounds of 69-69.

In the Super Senior flight, Charles Bagby and Peter Roby are a shot up on Peter Jacobi and Frank Guise thanks to two terrific rounds to start the event. The leaders shot 65 on Monday and followed with a second-round 67.
