After the completion of Round 1, the leader in Men’s Club Division is Kevin Roberts of Chesnee with a 1-over score of 73

PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (Jan. 25, 2014) -- The 18th Annual Tournament of Champions is underway at The Tradition Club in Pawleys Island and 105 Champions from 2013 were greeted with cold temperatures and windy conditions for the first round. After the completion of Round 1, the leader in Men’s Club Division is Kevin Roberts of Chesnee with a 1-over score of 73. In the Senior Club Division, three players are tied for the lead at 73. Doug Ramey of Greer is leading the One Day Gross Division with a score of 76. Columbia’s Bernie Shealy has a three shot lead in the One Day Senior Division with a score of 72. Makalyn Poole from Williamston leads the ladies with a score of 78 to take the top position in the Women’s Division. In the One Day Net Division Les Bradstreet used his 19 handicap and a score of 86 to take a two shot lead over his nearest competitor. The final round will begin with a 11:00 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday, January 26th. The 18th Annual Tournament of Champions is being played over the Tradition Golf Club layout in Pawleys Island, S.C. The field consists 105 men & women Club and One Day tournament Champions throughout South Carolina. The Tournament of Champions is one of 20 Major Championships that the South Carolina Golf Association conducts through the year.
