Annabel Dimmock of Surrey England defeated Pennsylvania's Isabella DiLisio, 1-up, to win the championship match at the 2014 Jones-Doherty Championship at Coral Ridge Country Club

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Jan. 25, 2014) -- Annabel Dimmock of Surrey England defeated Pennsylvania's Isabella DiLisio, 1-up, to win the championship match at the 2014 Jones-Doherty Championship at Coral Ridge Country Club. Seeded fifth, Dimmock moved to the finals by rolling through the match-play portion of the event. She won 5-3 over Julie Carmichael in the second round and 6-and-4 over Connie Isler in the quarterfinals. She bested Ashley Malinchak, 6-and-4 in Friday's semifinal before continuing her run with the victory over DiLisio in the finals. Dilisio gained entry into the final match with a 1-up (in 19 holes) win over No. 2 seed Brittany Fan in the semifinals. DiLisio was the match-play bracket's No. 3 seed. Top seed and qualifying medalist Marissa Messana reached the quarterfinals before she was knocked out by Malinchak. Andrea Kraus of Baltimore won the Senior Division with a 2-up victory over Marilyn Houston. Other flight winners included: Ashley Rose (1st Senior Flight), Leslie Henry (2nd Senior), Liz Breza (3rd Senior), Sale Johnson (4th Flight) and Alex Pano (1st Amateur Flight). The Jones-Doherty is the third event on the "Orange Blossom" circuit of ladies events in Florida.
