Arizona's Martinek leads Harder Hall
SEBRING, Fla. (Jan. 8, 2014) -- University of Arizona Junior Shelby Martinek leads the 59th Harder Hall Women’s Invitational after posting a 71 which included 4 birdies and 3 bogeys.
Martinek holds a one shot lead over the UK’s India Clyburn, who posted 6 birdies to go with her 6 bogeys. Harder Hall Country Club is playing at 6,150 yards for the championship, which concludes on Saturday, January 11 after 72 holes.
2012 Forever Forty-nine champion Martha Leach of Hebron, KY holds a two shot lead in that division over Cape Coral, Florida’s Gigi Higgins.
In the Ben Roman division, defending champion Nancy Jackson of Boynton Beach, FL shot 78 to hold a one shot lead over Karen Smith of Chestertown, MD.

ABOUT THE Citrus Golf Trail Ladies Invitational
Formerly known as the Harder Hall Invitational,
this
is a four-day no cut stroke play
tournament for women amateurs. It was played
at
Harder Hall CC for more than 65
years, but in 2021 it moves to a rotation of
courses
on the Citrus Golf Trail in Sebring,
Florida. The illustrious list of past champions
includes
the current world #1 Nelly Korda; Hall-of-
Famer
Joanne Carner; LPGA stars
Christie Kerr, Brittany Lincicome, Morgan
Pressel,
Stacy
Lewis and Charley Hull; amateur legends Carol
Semple
Thompson and Meghan

Curtis
Cup Team, Emilia Migliaccio and Gina Kim.
It has long drawn an international field and
has two Divisions: the
Championship Division and the Forever 49 Division

index 16.4). It is the first of the
"Orange Blossom" series of Florida winter
tournaments.
