Sacramento State University golfer Aaron Beverly capitalizes on final-round 66 to win the Napa City Championship by six shots
NAPA, Calif. (Aug. 25, 2013) — Aaron Beverly entered Sunday's final round down by two at the 2013 Napa City Championship. That didn't last long as the Sacramento State University golfer used a 66 to catapult him into a six-shot lead, winning the championship.
Saturday's leader, Eddie Schopplein, shot 78 on Sunday after leading by a stroke with his opening-round 73. He finished in fifth.
The two who tied for second, John McCord and Josh Van Duyn, capitalized on Sunday's final round much like Beverly. The two shot 70 and 69, respectively, finishing the event at 147, six shots back of Beverly.
