Jim Scorse of Stafford Country Club took home the title of 2013 RDGA Mid-Am Champion
Canandaigua, NY (Aug. 18, 2013) -- The 2013 RDGA Mid-Amateur Championship final round brought out some great golf at Centerpointe Country Club. Jim Scorse of Stafford Country Club took home the title of 2013 RDGA Mid-Am Champion. Scorse followed a first round 71 with a superb 69 for a 36 hole total of 140.
First round leader and defending champion Mike Rogers (68-73=141) of Stafford CC finished a solo 2nd place.
Centerpointe's own Kevin Peters (70-72=142), Colm Murphy of Webster GC (71-71=142) and Doug Slattery of Brooklea (71-71=142) finished tied for 3rd place.
The RDGA would like to thank host Centerpointe Country Club, owner Jason Lewis, and the staff for a great event and enjoyable time at their lovely facility. Special thanks to the RDGA Board, Staff, and Rules Officials for their efforts and time in making the event a success.
About the Rochester Mid-Amateur
Players ages 25 and older will compete over 36 holes of Stroke Play against the best golfers in the area. Must be a member of an RDGA club.
