Jaspers, Oweida share Charlotte City lead

Joe Jaspers fired a 65 on Saturday to put himself into share of the 36-hole lead at the Charlotte City Amateur

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (August 10, 2013) — Joe Jaspers trailed the leaders by three after round one. A 65 on Saturday quickly changed that. Jaspers shot the low round of the tournament to shoot himself into a tie for the lead with one of Friday's leader, Philip Oweida. Oweida, who will attend High Point University in the fall, fired consecutive 68s to share the lead with Jaspers. Jaspers and Oweida lead by two over Chad Cox, whose back-to-back 69s have him in solo second place.
