Jelley leads by one at Okla. Stroke Play
NORMAN, Okla. (August 6, 2013) — Soon-to-be Oklahoma State University golfer Brendon Jelley shot 69 on Tuesday to take a one-shot lead heading into the final round of the 2013 Oklahoma Stroke Play Championship.

His 68 in Monday's opening round had him in a three-way tie at the top with Scott Verplank and Hayden Wood.

Verplank, son of PGA Tour golfer Scott, shot 70 on Tuesday and is just a shot behind Jelley. Verplank attends Oklahoma City University.

Wood shot 73 in his second round, dropping back into a tie for seventh place.

ABOUT THE Oklahoma Stroke Play

Open to amateurs who are residents of Oklahoma, or full time students of an Oklahoma College or University. Participants must be a member of the OGA. Format is 54 Holes of stroke play. There will be a cut to the low 30 and ties after 36 Holes of stroke play.
