Former major league baseball player Erik Hanson leads by one at the Seattle Amateur.
SEATTLE, Wa. (July 1, 2013) — Erik Hanson has made the transition from professional baseball player to amateur golfer.
Once a pitcher in the Seattle Mariners organization, Hanson is now an avid amateur golfer and is leading the Seattle Amateur by one shot after an opening-round 67.
Six players trail Hanson by just one stroke after day one while a total of 11 players are within three shots.
About the Seattle Amateur

54-hole stroke play event played at 3 different Seattle golf courses. Field cut after 36 holes to the low 54 players who advance to the final round.
