University of South Carolina junior Sean Kelly shot an opening-round 66 to take a three-stroke lead in the Florida State Amateur Championship

TEQUESTA, Fla. (June 20, 2013) — Sean Kelly, a soon-to-be junior at the University of South Carolina, opened up the Florida State Amateur Championship firing a 66 to lead by three strokes. Michael Smith is the only other player to post a round in the 60s after his opening-round 69 put him in solo second place. Just one other golfer, Michael Mattiace, is under par. He sits in third place with a 70.
