AGC Player Staff member Ed Donlin got his hands on (or feet in) a pair of Skechers Go Golf Elite V3 shoes and offered this review

Editor's Note: AGC Player Staff member Ed Donlin was recently gifted a new pair of Skechers Go Golf Elite V3 golf shoes, and here is his review:

For Christmas, I received a new pair of Skechers Go Golf Elite V3 golf shoes.

I have been playing golf for 50 years and have worn shoes from nearly every company. I do walk the course whenever I am allowed to.

My feet are narrow so most manufacturers' truly leather upper medium width shoes are too wide for me. As the shoes stretch, there is no space between two sides of the eyelets for the shoe strings. The newer upper shoe materials do not stretch as badly as the older fully leather uppers, but they don’t breathe as well and tend to make my feet sweat a lot.

The Skechers Go Golf Elite V3 golf shoes seem to breathe better than shoes from the other manufacturers and they are not as heavy or as stiff feeling.

Normally when I get a new pair of shoes, I will wear them a few times when I am required to ride in a cart before walking a round in the shoes. I only wore these shoes one time before walking a round and had no issues.

These are easily the most comfortable shoes I have ever played golf in. There is enough structure that your feet don’t get too tired either. The inside is really well cushioned on the top so nothing digs into the top of your feet when you tie them.

The only issue I found is that this version of the shoe ran a half size smaller than my normal shoe size. I normally wear a size 11 and needed to trade them for a size 11½.

At around $100, these are easily the best golf shoes I have ever owned, especially for the price. I have 2 pairs now and am considering trying a newer version of the shoe.
