A breakthrough in core design maintains low long-game spin while increasing spin on scoring shots into and around the greens
Titleist has once again raised the bar in golf ball performance with the introduction of the new 2025 Pro V1 and Pro V1x, engineered to deliver exceptional speed, control, and spin. Celebrating 25 years as the most trusted name in golf balls, Titleist’s latest models build on decades of innovation, offering players of all levels tools to shoot lower scores.
“The golf ball has to do everything,” said Frederick Waddell, Titleist’s Director of Golf Ball Product Management. “It’s never just about one area – golfers need performance on every shot. The 2025 Pro V1 and Pro V1x deliver on this promise, offering a blend of speed, iron control, and greenside spin that sets a new standard.”
Breaking New Ground in Core Technology
At the heart of the 2025 Pro V1 and Pro V1x is a reformulated high gradient core, which Titleist engineers describe as a key breakthrough. This redesigned core steepens the “spin slope,” maintaining low long-game spin while increasing spin on scoring shots into and around the greens. For players, this means faster ball speeds off the tee and better control with their irons and wedges.
Mike Madson, Vice President of Titleist Golf Ball R&D, explained, “We’re always striving for improvement, and it’s all driven by feedback from the best players in the world. Their input helps us define what ‘better’ means for each generation of the Pro V1 and Pro V1x.”
Proven Performance on Tour
The new Pro V1 and Pro V1x debuted on the PGA TOUR at the Shriners Children’s Open in October 2024 and quickly earned their place in the winner’s circle. By the RSM Classic, more than 40 players had made the switch, with victories coming from the ZOZO Championship and The RSM Classic champions, among others.
Engineered for Every Player
The Pro V1 and Pro V1x continue to cater to a range of playing styles. The Pro V1 offers a mid-flight trajectory, soft feel, and balanced spin, while the Pro V1x delivers higher flight, firmer feel, and increased spin for maximum control. Both models feature a high-flex casing layer and a durable urethane elastomer cover for unmatched greenside spin and consistency.
Available worldwide starting January 25 in both white and high optic yellow, the 2025 Pro V1 and Pro V1x retail for $54.99. With their unmatched performance pedigree and proven success on professional tours, these new golf balls promise to deliver Titleist’s signature combination of innovation and excellence to golfers everywhere.
