Scotty Cameron has added a new model to the 2019 Phantom X family – the Phantom X 12.5 – to meet the needs of players seeking a stable mallet with more toe flow and a new alignment option. The Phantom X line of putters debuted last January at the PGA Merchandise Show, and the newest addition is available in stores starting on December 12. According to Cameron, the Phantom X 12.5 is the result of requests from tour players who are always looking for additional setup and configuration options.
The mallet-style putter has a single alignment line milled from the leading edge to the back of the flange, and a misted finish that helps to reduce sun glare. The center section consists of 6061 aircraft aluminum with heavier 303 stainless steel sections in the heel and toe. This weight configuration, with more on the perimeter of the club head, offers stability even on off-center hits. There are additional weights in the sole that can be adjusted when ordering the club. The Phantom X 12.5 has a low-bend shaft configuration with more toe hang than the other members of the Phantom X putter family, designed to aim directly down the target line and promote an arc path for more toe flow in the putting stroke. The Phantom X 12.5 will be available in right- and left-handed models and will retail at $429.
