The new Metal-X Milled series of putters from Odyssey combines the best of three previous lines into what the brand hopes to be a winner.

The Metal-X Milled features the face pattern from the Odyssey Metal X, head design of the ProType Tour and the adjustable weighting system of the ProType iX.

Odyssey is calling it the most technologically advanced putter it has made and it's easy to see why.

The Metal-X Roll Technology is made of oval dimples on the face to increase friction, which helps add forward rotation and a lower launch angle. An additional benefit to the roll technology is that it minimizes the ball-to-face contact and produces a much softer sound.

The putter comes also with an adjustable weight kit. Three sets of weights help to tune the putter to a weight ideal for your swing and playing conditions. The putter can be set between 340 and 360 grams through the use of two 10, 15 and 20-gram weights.

Odyssey also added a stabilizing crossbar that stiffens with face without adding weight. The crossbar helps stabilize the putter's sound and feel.

The putter has already enjoyed Tour success with three wins in its first two weeks on global tours, including Chris Kirk's win at the McGladrey Classic.

Six models make up the Metal-X Milled line. Nos. 1 and 6 are classic-designed heel-toe weighted blade putters. No. 7 is a two-pronged mallet while No. 9 HT is a small maleet with a high toe. Two classic mallets, the 330 and Rossie, classic-designed mallets, fill out the line.

Recently unveiled and set to hit stores Jan. 17, Nos. 1, 6, 9HT and the 330 will retail at $299 while the No. 7 and Rossie models retail at $349.
