Callaway has really stepped up its custom game, with today’s announcement of the Callaway Customs program. Golfers can order GBB Epic and Sub Zero drivers, Mack Daddy Forged and MD3 Milled Wedges, plus Chrome Soft, and other golf ball models – all in a dazzling array of options.
You’ll still get have the ability to order your driver and wedges in the shaft, grip, and loft/lie and model that you want. But add to that the following, and you’ll see why Callaway is claiming the new Customs program to be the most comprehensive in the industry. Let’s take a closer look.
Both the GBB Epic and GBB Epic Sub Zero are available in 8 different color options, with 2 paint fill zones. In addition to the exact color you want, these beauties will ship with a Callaway Customs headcover. Because you want to differentiate yourself from the masses, right? Both models are priced at $550.
Both the Mack Daddy Forged and MD3 Milled wedges can now be stamped as follows: three characters (basic); 10 characters (advanced); or a scattered stamping design. Each wedge has seven paint-fill areas including the four weight ports in the back of the head. A premium of between $15 and $45 over the standard wedge cost will be added (quite reasonable for this level of customization) depending on the custom option that's selected.
Most low handicap players will be interested in the custom options offered for the Chrome Soft. But the same options are also available for Supersoft, Superhot and Warbird models. Custom printing of up to 20 characters in three lines, as well as your choice of alignment line and initials are all included. And if that’s not enough, there are also four different color choices and numbering from 00 to 99.
If you’re really into Callaway, you won’t want to leave the Customs website without picking out some merchandise, that today includes Mack Daddy Forged belts and hats with the Callaway Customs logo.
