CARLSBAD, Calif. (Oct. 7, 2014) -- Callaway Golf has been firing on all cylinders over the past 12-18 months, with their gear winning more events on Tour and, more importantly for the bottom line, finding its way back into the bags of golf's most avid players.

Today, the Carlsbad, California based company announced the Big Bertha Alpha815 series drivers, which they claim are the first to offer both low spin and forgiveness. And just so there is no confusion on which model is aimed at pros and low handicap amateurs, Callaway has named the "extreme low spin" version the Big Bertha Alpha815 Double Black Diamond.

This may sound like a mouthful, but we like the idea of putting a skiing metaphor to use in a golf club model as opposed to product codes that can be tough to understand. And, like standing on top of a mogul and tree packed expert ski run, if you have to think too much about whether you can do it you might want to try another trail (club model).

Both drivers will be available at golf retailers nationwide and on www.callawaygolf.com on November 13, 2014. The Alpha 815 will be available for a new product introduction price of $449.99, and the Alpha 815 DD will be available for a new product introduction price of $499.99. Check out the video above to learn more about the Big Bertha Alpha815.
