Available in Standard, Pro, and MAX, the new models push the boundaries of the hybrid category

Today Callaway announced three new MAVRIK Hybrids: Standard, Pro, and MAX.

As with their new MAVRIK fairways, it's the first time the company used A.I. to create fully optimized hybrid faces. Adding to the equation Callaway's proven Jailbreak and Face Cup technologies and the result is the most technologically advanced hybrid face the company has ever designed. The new MAVRIK hybrids are long, forgiving, and easy to launch.

Callaway is now on their second generation supercomputer. They used A.I.'s machine learning to develop a different face design for every loft of the MAVRIK hybrid (across each model), promoting an optimal combination of speed, launch angle, and spin rate. These are the first Callaway hybrids to feature a fully optimized Flash Face, which is better at delivering fast ball speed across the entire hitting area.

Contributing to MAVRIK hybrids ability to deliver distance is Callaway’s unparalleled Jailbreak technology. Two vertical bars behind the face connect the sole and crown, allowing the face to take on more impact load; Jailbreak’s innovative ability to promote distance provides another key advantage in the production of ball speed.

Each MAVRIK model is designed to offer precisely what golfers want from a hybrid: easy launch, high flight, long carry and soft landing. And they are all equipped with premium shaft and grip components. Here's a quick look at each one:

MAVRIK Hybrid

That standard model is characterized by a mid-sized head with a square toe and justified scoring lines -- analogous to an iron face. The low CG, high MOI and speed-enhancing technologies combine to make MAVRIK easy to play. Long approaches, long par-threes and second shots on par-fives just became a lot more fun. Available in 3H, 4H, 5H, and 6H. Stock components include Project X Catalyst shaft in 55g, 65g, and 75g.

MAVRIK MAX Hybrid

The MAVRIK MAX is similar in shape to the Standard model, but with a larger body and deeper CG for higher MOI that makes them noticeably easy to launch. A wide range of lofts gives higher handicappers the option to replace all the way up to their 7- or 8-iron with the easy launch and long distance of MAVRIK MAX hybrids. Lofts include 3H, 4H, 5H, 6H, 7H, and 8H. Stock components include Project X Catalyst shaft in 55g, 65g, and 75g.

MAVRIK Pro Hybrid

The compact size, smaller profile, shallower face and cambered sole make the Pro closer to a fairway wood shape than an iron shape. Callaway returned to a fairway-wood like shape at the request of better players, including Tour pros, who prefer the flatter lie-angle and versatility of the increased sole-camber, as well as a neutral CG and more neutral ball flight.

MAVRIK Hybrids are available for pre-order on January 14, with a product-at-retail date of January 23.
