We had our first snow here in New England this week. But that hasn't stopped me from getting out to the course.

This year, I've stayed prepared for cold-weather golfing by getting a pair of Footjoy WinterSof gloves.

We had a great early part of the fall with some warm weather, so it wasn't until just before the season's first snow I had the chance to try a range session and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the grip, warmth and overall performance of the Footjoy Wintersof gloves.

The obvious goal of the WinterSof is to provide warmth while playing in cold weather. With a stretch-knit cuff, your hands remain toasty. The outer grip is also weather-proof, meaning the soft sure-grip suede palm is ideal for cool weather conditions and even handled well in slight a drizzle (although the Footjoy RainGrip gloves are best for rainy weather.

The feature that shocked me was the way the bulkier gloves meshed well with my grip and swing. Being built for colder temperatures, there's a bit more fabric and material than normal weather gloves. Add in the fact that you're wearing two gloves --- when most golfers usually only wear one --- and there's reason to worry about your comfort while wearing the WinterSof. But, after just a few swings, they felt normal to me and the only reason for a mis-hit was me!

If you live in a northern state and just can't stand to put the clubs away for the year, the Footjoy WinterSof gloves are a great way to stay warm without sacrificing your swing.
