Dallas Athletic Club was the first club in the southwest with two Jack Nicklaus signature golf courses. Both the Blue and Gold Courses are Nicklaus redesigns of the original Ralph Plummer courses, with the Blue course work completed in 1986 and the Gold Course in 1989. Jack Nicklaus won the 1963 PGA Championship at DAC, and the club also hosted the U.S. Mid-Amateur in 1997.
