Manteca Park Golf Course

Sleepy community (that calls itself "the family city") between Stockton and Modesto got its first 9 holes of golf in 1966. Second nine was added in 1979. While the course is very flat, the par 72 that tips out at 6478 plays much longer and tougher when the wind starts blowing. Former PGA Tour player Kevin Wentworth of Modesto holds the course record of 61.
