Tournament Overview
Given the positive feedback from the first Sac County
Senior 4-Ball championship in October
2022, the Sacramento Golf Council has decided to
offer the 1st City Senior 4-Ball Championship
in conjunction with the 68th annual Sacramento
County 4-Ball tournament.
To conduct the tournament, we need at least eight
(8) teams to sign up to have a match play
bracket of eight teams. If eight or more teams enter,
we will have a qualifying round on Friday,
March 31, 2023, with tee time starting at 10:00am
to determine the eight teams that will advance
to match play and seeding for the eight teams.
Match play would commence on Saturday
morning, April 1, with the semifinal matches on
Saturday afternoon, April 1 and the final match
on Sunday morning, April 2. We also intend for this
to be a NCGA points tournament for the
2022/23 season and will be applying to get approval
from NCGA.
This tournament is open to ages 55 and above with a
GHIN of 9.4 or less.
The entry fee is $230 per team and includes
ALL qualifying and match play green
fees and
awards. Golf carts are NOT included but may be
rented in the golf shop prior to play.
To plan
for this event, you must sign up no later than, March
20, 2023. If we don't get enough
interest, that will give us time to cancel the event
and refund the entry fee.
All play will be conducted under USGA rules. Play is
at scratch from the White tees at about
6,300 yards.
