Scott relied on a bag full of Titleist equipment to win The Masters in a playoff over Angel Cabrera

Angel Cabrera on the
second extra hole. In addition to winning his
first career major, Scott made
history by becoming
the first Australian to take home the coveted
Green Jacket.
"We like to think we're the best at
everything," said Scott. "Golf is a big
sport at home, and this is
the one thing in golf we hadn't been able to
achieve. It's amazing that it's
my destiny to be the
first Australian to win. It's incredible."
Scott converted a 20-foot putt for birdie on the final hole of regulation, only to watch Cabrera nearly hole his approach shot and tap-in for birdie to force the extra session. Replaying the 18th as the first hole of the playoff, both players got up and down for par with close chip shots. On the second extra hole, the 10th at Augusta National, Cabrera's 15-foot putt for birdie just missed, setting up Scott's heroics. As daylight fell, Scott drained a dramatic 12- footer for birdie and the historic and popular win.
Scott, playing with fellow countryman and Titleist Brand Ambassador Marc Leishman in the next to last group, made his only bogey on the first hole, closing with a 3-under par 69. Cabrera, in the final group, shot a final round 2-under 70, as both players finished at 9- under 279. Cabrera was the only player to shoot four consecutive rounds under par. Leishman tied for 4th, four shots out of the playoff, and posted his best-ever finish in a major championship.
* - Scott played the new Titleist 913D3 driver for the first time in competition this week. He switched from the Titleist 910D3 driver and all of his specifications remained the same. Scott stayed with 9.5 degrees of loft, an A-1 (neutral) SureFit Tour Hosel setting and Graphite Design Tour AD DI 8, X flex graphite shaft at 44.75”. Adam worked with Titleist Tour Representative Chris Tuten on the Wednesday of the Tampa Bay Championship to dial in a precision fit. Adam did not put the 913D3 driver into play in Tampa, preferring to work with it during his preparation weeks leading up to the Masters. Adam came to Augusta ready to put it in play and was extremely confident in his performance with it following several practice rounds. Scott cited that he was getting a higher ball flight without increased spin for longer carry distance with the new driver which would be beneficial to him at Augusta National and going forward.
** - Scott also put a refined Scotty Cameron by Titleist Futura X prototype putter in the bag this week. He has been working with Cameron since December on the new long putter that provides the high MOI (Moment of Inertia) and path that Scott was seeking. While the design of the putter creates a high MOI, Cameron took the putter one step further by adding more stability to the face with perimeter weighting. High MOI combined with perimeter weighting gives this putter a very unique feel and performance. The putter is made out of aluminum and includes a balance bar and four tungsten weights that are positioned under four adjustable stainless steel weights in the far four corners of the putter for maximum MOI. The putter is 49" in length, has a 79* lie angle and 3* of loft.

He finished at 293.8 yards per drive, which was 7 yards more than the field average … While Scott led the field in Greens in Regulation, fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Tim Clark was tops in Driving Accuracy, splitting 47 of 56 fairways for a near 84% success rate. His pinpoint tee ball helped Clark finished T11 on the leaderboard, securing a spot in next year’s Masters … Another Titleist Brand Ambassador and fellow Aussie to Scott is Marc Leishman who finished T4 on the leaderboard and T5 in Putting Average with his Scotty Cameron Tour Rat 2 prototype putter.
