Bob Fairchild and Brian Sparrow captured their fifth Henry Picard – Canterbury Cup with a one-over-par total score of 285

The local Canterbury team of Bob Fairchild and Brian Sparrow captured their fifth Henry Picard – Canterbury Cup this past weekend running away from the field with a one over par total score of 285. A two-main team event, (two days better ball of partners, final day is aggregate score of partners) the Picard Cup attracted a strong field but the “home cooking” was good for the local boys Sparrow and Fairchild. Runner up with 292 was the team of Doug Hauenstein of Aurora, OH and partner Ken Kinkopf of Columbus, OH. A three-way tie for third at 293 included the teams of Eric Burch and Chris Beto from Chicago, Peter Malik and Steve Hiltebrant and Bill Lundeen of Cincinnati and partner John Kartheiser of Lexington, KY. The Senior Division was won by the Canadian team of Chris Kelos and Carl Nanni with 297 and the Senior runner-up was Greg Alksnis and Michael Kohn of Michigan.
