Walden On Lake Conroe Golf and Country Club

Walden on Lake Conroe has long been recognized as one of the best courses in Texas since its opening in 1976. The course was designed by Robert Von Hagge and Bruce Devlin, who routed the course brilliantly through tall stands of pine and oak trees. The highlight of the routing is the stretch of #11-13, with thrilling shots along and over Lake Conroe. The 11th hole, a double dog leg par 5 measuring 589 yards, is justifiably famous for its difficulty, with a tight drive setting up an all-carry third shot. Holes #9-11 are an unusual stretch of three straight par 5's.
