Titleist Performance Institute apparel unveiled
OCEANSIDE, CA. (Sept. 19, 2013) – The Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), golf’s health and fitness authority, announced today the launch of its new performance-inspired fitness apparel for the athletic golfer.
The new line combines state-of-the-art fabrics and construction techniques with the clean, modern design aesthetic representative of all Titleist equipment and accessories.
TPI apparel is available for purchase exclusively on the newly redesigned MyTPI.com, which features the web’s largest collection of golf-specific health, fitness and swing advice from experts around the world. Currently, there are more than 10,000 TPI Certified professionals assisting players of all skill levels on six continents and in 57 countries. “TPI is dedicated to improving player performance at all levels, by studying how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing,” said Dr. Greg Rose, who co-founded the Titleist Performance Institute with Dave Phillips in 2003. “Health and fitness is a major component to what we teach, so we spend a lot of time working with athletes in the gym. Fitness apparel became a natural extension of what we already do. For the first time, golfers who train in the gym have the ability to wear fitness gear that’s been researched, tested and proven by the greatest trainers in the world.”
There are currently 17 different apparel pieces available on MyTPI.com with four additional styles slated for launch this October. Items include short and long sleeve training tees, training shorts and pants, and performance hoodies. Every garment TPI designs is purpose based, focusing on a particular aspect of fitness including time inside the gym, outdoor fitness or comfort based apparel designed for recovery.
This purpose-based design strategy will drive all future TPI apparel offerings and is the overriding force behind each style’s fabric technology, feature set and fit. TPI apparel delivers a tailored, athletic fit, and utilizes the latest in fabric technology like TPIDRI® for moisture management and TPISILVER for permanent odor control.
“We’re dedicated to gathering player feedback and using the latest technologies to provide golfers with the finest, most innovative athletic gear in the market,” said Clifford DeNicolo, Director of TPI Apparel. “We’ve designed every piece with a focus on quality, consistency and performance, the defining characteristics of each and every product that bears the Titleist logo.”
