A Clemson commit, Young has played extremely well this year. He has three wins this year. He won the Carolinas Amateur Championship, the Bobby Chapman Junior Invitationsl, The Carolinas Junior Match Play, and the SCJGA Blade Junior Championship. He also finished t16 in the Azalea Amateur and has multiple top 5 finishes in junior events.
