KY Sr. Match Play: 2012 champ Crowdis set to defend

LAGRANGE, KY (June 11, 2013) -- The KSGA Match Play Championship Qualifier concluded Monday at Oldham County Country Club. 2013 Champion Randy Crowdis will attempt to defend his title against the top 15 qualifiers from today’s competition.

The last two spots for the Championship Flight were contested by four players in a sudden death play-off.

Tony Jacobi and David Rabold played their way into the field by clinching these last two spots.

78 players will tee it up Tuesday in five different flights to compete for the opportunity to play through Thursday’s Finals.

ABOUT THE Kentucky Senior Match Play

Open to senior amateurs with an active KGA index. Format consists of an 18-hole stroke play qualifier followed by a round of 16 match play bracket to decide the champion. Event coincides with Kentucky Match Play Championship.
