MEMPHIS, Tenn. (June 10, 2013) — From its
corporate headquarters
overlooking the #2 green at TPC Southwind,
True Temper Sports celebrated
another hometown victory at the FedEx St.
Jude Classic this weekend.
The first-time PGA TOUR winner scored two
birdies on the final three holes
for a come-from-behind win with Dynamic Gold
in his irons and Project X
Graphite in his driver. He fended off two tough
competitors in the final
round on Sunday to win by two strokes and to
move to no. 13 in the FedEx
Cup standings.
“A win on the PGA TOUR is always great. A win
in your own backyard is
even more special especially when the
champion has a track record of
success in the state of Tennessee from his
high school days,” said Scott
Hennessy, president and CEO of True Temper
Sports. “Being a part of the
FedEx St. Jude Classic is a part of True
Temper’s history, from our annual
player’s lunch on Tuesday to our sponsorship
of the famous Hush Y’all
paddles used by the marshals and finally a
victory on Sunday.”
