Mississippi (MGA) Mid-Amateur Championship
GREENVILLE, MS (April 7, 2006) -- The First Round of the Mid Amateur Championship was suspended at 3:45 pm on Friday, April 7th. Six players completed the first round. The first round will resume play at 9:30 am. The scores will be posted and the players repaired according to their scores, with the lowest scores going first. The Second Round will begin at 12:00 pm on Saturday. The first round results will be posted on Saturday after the first round has been completed.
ABOUT THE Mississippi Mid-Amateur
Tournament is scheduled for 54 holes of stroke play
(36 holes for women). The
Championship is open to amateurs who have
reached their 25th birthday and are bona fide
residents of the state of Mississippi for at least 60
days prior to the first round of the tournament.
Participants must conform with the USGA Rules of
Amateur Status. All participants in Mississippi Golf
Association State Championships will be required to
have an active GHIN Handicap through a USGA
Licensed Mississippi Club. Participants must be bona
fide residents of the state of Mississippi for at least
60 days prior to the first round of the tournament.
