Calif. Sr. Women's: Eaton takes lead
CORRAL DE TIERRA, Calif. (May 15, 2013)—Kim Eaton of Tempe, AZ fired a second round 73 in the 35th annual CWAC Senior played at Corral de Tierra Country Club.

Eaton, a reinstated amateur and retired police officer, exhibited great iron play and made birdies at holes 3, 9, 11 and 12. She now sits at 153 (80-73) one stroke ahead of first round leader, Juvy Timan of Watsonville who slipped to a 79 today after an opening round 75.

Eaton commented, “I really like this course, especially the sand. There’s nothing like it in Arizona.”

Alone in third is three-time past champion, Sandy Woodruff of Santa Cruz, who shot a 76 today and a two-day total of 156. Woodruff commented, “I didn’t make any birdies, but I made a lot of up and downs for par.”

Four-time California Amateur Champion, Lynne Cowan, who recently moved to Rocklin, shot even par on the front nine but slipped on the back nine finishing with an 80. Playing in her first senior event Cowan is at 158 and is five off the lead.
