Sacramento County Sr.: Burda wins it
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (May 9, 2013) -- Jeff Burda fired rounds of 71-70--141 to win the 2013 Sacramento County Senior Championship held at Ancil Hoffman Golf Club.

Burda's total was three shots better than Terry Foreman (71-73) and Herb Jensen (70-74) who both tied for second place.

Gary Vanier (71-74), Dennis Younglove (76-69), Jon Cook (71-74) and Doug Johnson (72-73) were all tied for fourth place, four shot back of the red-hot Burda.

Gene Ackerman and Carl Selkirk finished at the top of the leaderboard in the Super Senior Division.

Ackerman (67-75) and Selkirk (68-74) were two shots up on Earl Stewart.

ABOUT THE Sacramento County Senior

The Sacramento Golf Council presents the 45th County Senior & Super Senior Men's Championship at Ancil Hoffman Golf Course on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 8 and 9, 2018. The tournament is open to all male amateur golfers age 55 and older as of May 8, 2018, who are members of an organized golf club with an established USGA handicap index of 9.4 or less. There will be two separate flights - Seniors (age 55-64) and Super Seniors (age 65 and older).

The entry fee is $165 per player and includes two days green fees, range balls both days and awards - power cart not included. The entry deadline is May 1 and there will be no refunds after this date. There will be a $25 service charge for returned checks.

The tournament format is 36 holes of stroke play – 18 holes each day. Ties for champion in both flights will be decided in a sudden death playoff. All other ties will be divided evenly by the sum of the combined places. The lowest 36-hole gross scores in the respective flights will be declared the 2018 County Sr. and Super Senior Men’s Champion. The names will be inscribed on the perpetual trophy.
