MEMPHIS, Tenn. (April 22, 2013) - The RBC
Heritage champion trusted his short game to
Project X to score a playoff victory this
weekend at one of the PGA TOUR's tightest
courses.
The final playoff on Sunday afternoon saw two
former U.S. Open champions-and Project X
and Dynamic Gold-going head to head for the
win. It was the champion's par with Project X
6.5 in his irons on the first playoff hole that
won him the RBC title and a move to number
six in the FedEx Cup standings.
"On a course like Harbor Town which is
notorious for gusting winds and tight fairways,
accuracy is incredibly important and
ultimately makes the winning difference," said
Scott Hennessy, president and CEO of True
Temper Sports. "With many of the players in
the field at the RBC Heritage shooting in the
80s on this challenging course, it is no
coincidence that the winner, the runner up and
all Top 5 finishers trust their game to shafts
by True Temper."
Truth in Numbers:
• The RBC Heritage winner's bag: Project X
6.5
• The RBC Heritage runner up's bag: Dynamic
Gold X100
• 112 sets of True Temper shafts in play at
the RBC Heritage
True Temper's Project X line of shafts feature
straight taper and short tip sections that
provide maximum energy transfer with low
spin rates required for penetrating iron shots.
