Carolinas Senior Four-Ball: Roland/Pike lead
DATAW ISLAND, SC (April 17, 2013) -- First round results of the 45th Senior Four-Ball Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association hosted by Dataw Island Club (Cotton Dike) in Dataw Island, SC on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 (6416 yards, par 36-36—72, 71.2/132). Michael Roland of Winston-Salem, NC and Arlis Pike of Kernersville, NC stand atop the leaderboard after firing a seven-under par 65 to hold a one shot lead after 18 holes. Defending champions, Paul Simson and Don Detweiler of Raleigh, NC posted a three-under par 69 and are currently tied for 10th place. After 36 holes the field of 58 teams will be cut to the low 30 teams and ties for the final round.

The Carolinas Senior Four-Ball Championship is
conducted at 54 holes of four-ball stroke play. Entry is
open to any male amateur golfer who is a legal resident
of North Carolina or South Carolina and at least 55
years old.
