Georgia Four-Ball: Resseguie/Benson lead
ALBANY, Ga. --- After 36 holes of the Georgia Four-Ball Tournament, Scott
Resseguie of Augusta and Gary Bernson of Marietta lead all into the final
round at 6-under-par 138. Beginning the second round two strokes back from
the lead after an opening-round 70, Resseguie and Bernson recorded six
birdies and two bogeys on Saturday for a second-round 68.
The 25th playing of the Georgia Four-Ball Tournament is taking place at
Doublegate Country Club and Stonebridge Golf and Country Club, March 22-
24.
Three teams sit one stroke back from the leaders heading into Sunday's final
round at 5-under-par 139, including first-round leaders Charles Hobbs of
Blakely and Joe Peters of Watkinsville (68-71), Craig Wentworth of
Thomasville and Lee Gerdes of Macon (69-70), and Danny Daniels of
Kingsland and Mike Wooten of St. Mary's (71-68).
The Championship through third flights, which are eligible for the overall
title, are competing at Doublegate Country Club. The fourth through seventh
flights are at Stonebridge Golf and Country Club.

ABOUT THE Georgia Four-Ball Tournament
The Georgia Four-Ball Tournament, held annually
since 1989, is open
to male amateur golfers who are GSGA members
and are residents of
Georgia. The format is four-ball stroke play.
Entries: Open to two-man teams of male
amateur golfers who have combined USGA
Handicap Indexes of 4.0 and above and a
maximum differential of 6 strokes
Field: 96 teams -- 82 teams determined by
lottery, three spots reserved for each host
club and one spot reserved for each of the
previous year's flight winners
