Tasmanian Open: France's Beaucousin takes charge
PROSPECT VALE, Tasmania (Feb. 21, 2013) -- France’s Teremoana Beaucousin has taken charge early in the 2013 Country Club Tasmania Open Golf Championship at Country Club Tasmania.

Beaucousin carded a spectacular four-under-par round of 67 to lead New South Wales’ Cameron Davis and Ruben Sondjaja on three-under-par.

Tasmanian John Cassidy is currently tied for fourth place on two-under-par with Western Australia’s Jarryd Felton and Queensland’s Joshua Kalms and Kade McBride.

The Men's Tasmanian Open is an Australian Men's Ranking Event. It is for players of any age and is played over 72- holes stroke play. First played in 1913 the history of the Tasmanian Open is steeped in tradition and former champions include Nick Flanagan, Ashley Hall, England’s Ben Parker, Rohan Blizard and Tim Stewart while Geoff Ogilvy, Brendan Jones and Mathew Goggin claimed the title during the nineties.
